Construction of the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre in Minnamurra National Park is now completed, Patterson Building Group Pty Limited was appointed by The Office of Environment and Heritage as head contractor.

This is the first stage prepared by Phillips Marler for the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. The new design is a dramatic transformation of the existing building, incorporating a café, commercial kitchen, kiosk, new outdoor spaces and a potential future venue for functions and special events.

The works involve the refurbishment of the existing Visitor Cente including upgrades and improvements to the main entry, removal of internal walls and of existing staff accommodation, upgrades to the roof, ceiling, internal and external walls, storm water plumbing, lighting and other lighting fixtures.

Diagrind was contracted to grind and polish both the new concrete and existing concrete slabs. The floor was diamond polished to a satin/gloss finish and sealed with C2 Protector. As we were blending in two different pieces of concrete, time was spent bringing the two slabs level and finish to the same high degree.
